Hypopressives Exercise

This exercise changed my post-natal life. I was mortified that after having my daughter I found myself unable to run without leaking and to be honest, I say leak, but actually there was one particular run where I emptied my bladder completely! I was horrified. After doing some research I then found out it was so common most women were happy to just wear a pad and get on with life. I was not prepared to settle for that so I decided to find a way to help myself.

That is when I found hypopressives exercise which I promptly trained in and reversed my incontinence within 12 weeks.

I now teach the hypopressives modality on a small group and one-to-one basis. It takes approximately 6 sessions to learn the complete flow and the unique breathing technique (where you learn to create a vacuum with the diaphragm) allowing the muscles to contract and relax fully.

Hypopressives can help with:

  • incontinence

  • low back pain

  • painful sex

  • diastasis-recti

  • pelvic organ prolapse

To succeed you must be dedicated to practising 10 minutes a day.
